When prompting is not enough

Use the selection tool for more control, rather than trying to describe every detail at once!

Vizcom's prompting system is based on keywords. You can list these keywords in order of importance to help shape the generated image. However, describing more complex designs can be challenging, as Vizcom doesn't interpret prompt context the way a human would. This means that assigning specific colors, materials, or features can sometimes be hit or miss. In such cases, using the selection tools can help you apply design elements more precisely.

Let’s take a look at an example.

Suppose you want to design a modern sneaker with multiple patches. You likely don’t want the colors and materials to appear randomly across the design.

Vizcom won't automatically know where each material should be applied without clear guidance:

To gain more control over the design, start by describing the overall aesthetic of the shoe. Then, go step by step—selecting and describing each area individually to ensure precise results:

Use one of the selection tools from the menu—or combine several—to define the specific area you want to modify:

After generating within the selected area, the result is much more coherent—we're now able to control the placement of the patches on the shoe, instead of ending up with random or confusing distributions:
